I've been active all my life. But as with many people life can get very busy and working out can get put on the back burner. Child, hectic work schedule that required a lot of travel and before I knew it I was out of shape. With my travel schedule I could only find time to run. I changed my diet, starting running and lost about 30lbs. Not liking my new "skinny" look I went back to gym and starting lifting weights. Traditional and boring! Luckily I was introduced to CrossFit around the same time. My first WOD was Jackie, I thought I was going to die. I didn't die, and went back for more and more. I was hooked.
Still with a work schedule that required a lot of travel I started visiting CrossFit boxes all over the country. Could not have been a better experience! Loved it. Each box was unique and all the people at each box welcomed me. It didn't matter if it was a big box or a little one, all were great.
Time for a career change. CrossFit it was. I could not have made a better choice. I've been given the opportunity to change lives, including mine. Its not the wod, equipment, location that make CrossFit great. Its the people and the friends.
